Asier Sainz, of the "Cardenal Spínola" school, receives the award of the Andalusian Smart Water Stories Competition
The high school student of the Cardenal Spínola school in Huelva, Asier Nicolás Sainz with his account 'Valor H2O' has been the winner of the first prize, of the VI Contest of Intelligent Water Stories convened by Hidralia and all its joint ventures, among which is Aguas de Huelva.
The managing director of Aguas de Huelva, Isabel Butrón, has given the prize of this literary contest to the student Asier Sainz, accompanied by the teacher of the educational center, Ana Pereira.
The student has received the Tablet iPad that is awarded to the winner of the contest. Aguas de Huelva also wanted to present to the teacher of the Cardenal Spínola school with bottles with the design of the 50th anniversary of the company, in recognition of its collaboration paid year after year in the promotion of participation and values of environmental awareness among its students through this contest.
The competition was convened last January for students between 12 and 16 years old throughout Andalusia and is already the sixth consecutive year that is held, becoming one of the most settled water-themed competitions in the region. The Cardenal Espínola school is always one of the most participatory in Andalusia and during the six editions of the contest have managed to be awarded with two first and two second prizes.
The Jury, made up of journalists and writers related to the water sector, has estimated in its ruling that Asier's winning account has been able to synthesize the most important aspects related to water protection. This year the theme focused on the importance of water in society and the concept of a 'smart city'.
