The first year of the Hidralia+UGR Chair
- The Hidralia+UGR Chair presents its annual report.
- Its activities focused on research, dissemination and training in water management.
The Hidralia+UGR Chair for Digital, Innovative, Social and Sustainable Water Management has presented its 'Activity and Financial Report 2017’ which summarises its main activities in its first year.
The main aims of the Chair include dissemination, awareness-raising and promotion of work on water management-related topics. To do this, the Hidralia+UGR Chair Awards were set up to recognise excellence in bachelor’s and master’s degree theses. As part of the University of Granada Internal Research and Transfer Plan, the Chair helped start up an ambitious research project on the elimination of pharmaceutical-based pollutants, developed at the Water Institute by researcher Elisabeth Aranda Ballesteros. In addition, one of its major achievements was the creation of the Water and Development Forum, designed as a meeting space for different parties involved in water management, in the context of Sustainable Development Goal 6: Ensure the availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
