Statement from the Roquetas City Council about unsuitable water
A municipal party reports this resolution caused by the breakdown of the Campo de Dalías desalination plant
The Roquetas de Mar City Council has issued a statement due to a serious breakdown in the Campo de Dalías Desalination Plant Transformation Center, which has affected the supply of the municipalities that are supplied with desalinated water.
For this reason, the mayor of Roquetas de Mar, Gabriel Amat, has issued a municipal order following the resolution by Public Health, informing that in the next few hours the water supplied to the population will not be suitable for ingestion or food use. However, it can be used for grooming and personal hygiene as well as for cleaning tasks.
The City Council has highlighted that since this incident occurred, both the mayor and the Councilor for the Presidency and person in charge of Water, Rocío Sánchez, have studied together with Hidralia, the service concessionaire company, to look for possible alternatives to harm the to the population as little as possible, waiting for Acuamed, in charge of managing the desalination plant, to resolve this new incident, which for the City Council "reveals the poor maintenance of this desalination plant".
Hidralia remembers that it has the telephone number 900 555 565 for information and communication of incidents that is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
