Facing the great challenges of the water sector is one of the fundamental challenges for the sustainable development of the planet. In Spain, efficient water management, the commitment to the circular economy, the need for investment in water infrastructure, the provision of solutions that allow us to face the direct consequences of climate change or the digitalization of the integral water cycle, are some of the challenges that this sector faces.

An example of the great experience that this contest represents is expressed by the Spanish Rosa Lozano, who together with Elisabeth Pozo and Rocío Ruiz, made history by being the winners in the international final Stockholm Junior Water Prize in 1999. A year in which Spain also participated for first time in this prestigious contest.
