Asier Nicolás Sainz, from Huelva, wins the VI Smart Water Story Contest

Hidralia and its investee companies intend with this contest to promote the participation of the youngest in the sustainable use of water through literature

The story titled 'Valor H2O' by Huelva-based Asier Nicolás Sainz has been awarded the first prize in the VI Smart Water Story Contest, organized by Hidralia and its investee companies (Aguas de Benahavís, Aguas de Torremolinos, Aguas de Huelva, Aguasvira and Aguas de Montilla). The prize consists of an iPad Tablet, which will be awarded to the student of the Cardenal Spínola school in Huelva, who has received a special mention for his high participation and stories presented in the contest.

The event is aimed at young people between 12 and 16 years old and aims to contribute to the dissemination of the water culture in all the municipalities in which both Hidralia and its associates operate in Andalusia, as well as to encourage the participation of the youngest in the sustainable use of this resource through literature.

In this way, the Jury, made up of journalists and writers related to the water sector, has estimated that the winning story has been able to synthesize the most important aspects related to water protection. This year the theme focused on the importance of water in society and on the concept of a 'smart city'.

The contest was held last January for students between 12 and 16 years old throughout Andalusia and it is the sixth consecutive year that it has been held, making it one of the most established competitions on the theme of water in the region.
