Success of participation of Hidralia in the day "Talent, Diversity and Inclusion: Looking straight at people", organized by CIT Marbella

The concessionaire company of the water supply and sanitation of the municipality of Marbella, Hidralia, has participated once again in the cycle of Socially Responsible Companies, organized by CIT Marbella, which has celebrated its 5th edition this year.

The concessionaire company of the water supply and sanitation of the municipality of Marbella, Hidralia, has participated once again in the cycle of Socially Responsible Companies, organized by CIT Marbella, which has celebrated its 5th edition this year.

This time, the title of the day was "Talent, Diversity and Inclusion: Looking at People". Therefore, the technician of organization and Human Resources of Hidralia, Ángel José López, gave a presentation entitled "Equity and Diversity", in which he presented the vision of the company on these issues.

Among other things, Lopez explained the Equality Plan of the Suez group, which plans to increase by 20% by 50% the number of women in management positions of the company as well as the number of people with functional diversity within it.

He also gave concrete examples of the work carried out by Hidralia in terms of inclusion to overcome, broadly with 2.52% of people with functional diversity, the legal minimum required of companies. This is the case of collaboration with entities such as Fundatul at a more local level, or with others such as the Adecco Foundation or the ONCE Foundation at a more group level, with the inestimable collaboration of the Aquae Foundation.

To reinforce this message, López invited Vanesa, a Hidralia employee at the San Fernando office, to speak. Vanesa has a severe hearing loss and explained how the company has adapted her work place to make it easier for her to work and communicate with her colleagues. In summary, he highlighted the predisposition of Hidralia to offer an environment in which he is on equal terms with the other employees of the workforce.

Then it was the turn of the main presentation of the act, by the versatile Pablo Pineda, the first European graduate with Down Syndrome, Diversity consultant at Adecco Foundation, teacher, lecturer, presenter, writer and Spanish actor awarded with the Silver Shell at Best actor at the International Film Festival of San Sebastian in 2009. Pineda reviewed his personal and professional career and highlighted what he considers vital: not labeling people by their physique.

The opening of the day was in charge of the manager of Concessions of Hidralia-Marbella, Carlos Corral, the president of the Association of Entrepreneurs and Professionals, CIT Marbella, Juan José González, Mercedes Mengíbar, managing director of Vithas Xanit International Hospital and Cristóbal Garre, in representation of the City Council of Marbella. In it, Corral highlighted the satisfaction of Hidralia to participate one more year in this type of conference, as it has been doing since the first one was held.
