Hidralia consolidates its commitment to Autismo Cádiz and renews its collaboration agreement with the group
Thanks to this cooperation, it is easier to travel to the entity's activities both at the headquarters and in the surrounding area.
Hidralia, the concessionaire of the drinking water and sewerage service in San Fernando, consolidates its commitment to the Cádiz Autism Association by renewing for another year the agreement that both entities have signed for years to improve the accessibility of this group and support its services.
Hidralia has joined forces with Autismo Cádiz to improve the quality of life of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families in an essential area such as leisure and free time. The document was signed at the water company’s headquarters in San Fernando in the presence of Hidralia’s manager, José Luis Trapero, and Autismo Cádiz’s president, Carmen López Ginés.
Hidralia continues to support the services provided by Autismo Cádiz by facilitating travel from San Fernando to various external activities and the different locations that the non-profit organization has in the province of Cádiz. This allows them to attend hydrotherapy sessions, summer camps, or travel to Puerto Real to continue their activities.
Among the various activities supported by this agreement are the Summer Camps that take place in hostels or campsites. Here, these people can enjoy a natural environment that helps them relax and break out of their routine, while also offering a few days of vacation to families. There is also the Family Respite program, which focuses on families of people over 16 years of age with ASD, to reduce their possible anxiety and offer different solutions when an unforeseen situation occurs (death, illness, hospitalization…) and occasionally for leisure activities and activities of other family members.
Adapted office
Hidralia, a water management company, has taken an important step towards accessibility and customer service by adapting its San Fernando office to have a barrier-free headquarters through the concept of universal accessibility. They have installed adapted visual keys to facilitate access and understanding for people with autism spectrum disorder, brain damage, intellectual disabilities, language problems, seniors, people with language barriers, or literacy problems.
In this continuous improvement process, the company has the “Contigo” program, an initiative promoted by the Agbar group, to which Hidralia belongs, focused on ensuring that all customers, without exception, can access the company’s services and, above all, ensuring good attention to people in vulnerable situations, with the aim of identifying digital, comprehension, accessibility, or economic barriers.
Autismo Cádiz is one of the first associations in Andalusia to serve people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families, since 1979, thanks to a complete portfolio of services that accompany the person with ASD at all stages of their life, ranging from diagnostic services, psychological support, education, or home services, to name a few. The association has a wide range of services aimed at people and families of people with autism, whether minors or adults, to achieve full citizenship status with optimal quality of life throughout their lives.
