Hidralia shows its technological and management innovations for the maintenance of the San Fernando sewer network
It announces to the City of San Fernando all the equipment, the human team and the innovations that allow to manage the actions and the monitoring of the sewage system in real time
Hidralia, company responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the sewer networks of San Fernando, has received in its sanitation facilities the Councilor for Sustainable Development, Ignacio Bermejo, so that he could know first-hand the human team and all the equipment with which the control and dressing of the municipal network, which has a length of 197 kilometers, are carried out.
The person in charge of Sustainable Development in the City Council of San Fernando has been able to verify the axes that underpin the performance of Hidralia in the city. In this way, the company's technicians showed him the innovations and equipment that have been implemented and that allow managing the actions and monitoring of the city's sewer system in a telematic way.
An optimization of the processes that allow the company, through its own software and applications developed for the sector, to carry out a preventive cleaning task, even with sensors installed in the control of the spillways and with systems that allow have a knowledge of the state of the network in real time. In fact, the entire network system is mapped and reflected through GIS computer application, which allows better control when performing maintenance, both preventive and corrective network.
All of this also allows the management of all tasks without the need for paper, influencing the UN Sustainable Development Goals by using resources more effectively and promoting the adoption of clean technologies.
The Councilor for Sustainable Development has also known the company's effort to promote a safe and secure work environment for the workforce. Thus, Ignacio Bermejo, has been able to see all the equipment and protective material that operators have to perform their actions, cleaning measures and know the safety protocols that must be followed and that are internalized to be carried out before of doing any work.
Measures that include, among others, the use of self-contained breathing apparatus, for the inspection of operators inside the network, as well as the systems that guarantee rescues, should any unforeseen occurrence.
The councilor has taken advantage of this visit to thank Hidralia's staff for the daily work they do for the maintenance of the sewerage network, as well as their professionalism and quick action whenever any type of incident occurs in the municipality.
Just a few weeks ago, the City Council signed with Hidralia a four-year extension of the contract that will allow the improvement of the city's sanitation network with an investment that exceeds five million euros throughout this period. The actions will impact the entire city, but will have a priority development zone, since the shortcomings in both sewage and supply of Bazán, a neighborhood that has 700 homes and where more than reside reside 3.500 people.
