Hidralia participates in the kickoff of the international project Waterverse, a data management ecosystem at the service of water
The company has exposed the advantages for transparent management and collaboration alliances that would mean the convergence of quality data from different entities, both public and private
Hidralia has participated this week in the kickoff of the international project Waterverse, organized in the Greek city of Thessaloniki by the Technological Research Center CERTH, coordinator of the project. This initiative aims to create a data management ecosystem between different entities, both public and private, in order to establish relationships that provide solutions to the specific problems of cities that add value and increase their resilience.
The technician responsible for Digital Transformation at Hidralia and Dinapsis Costa del Sol, Javier Haro, made his presentation at the forum, highlighting the importance that this interconnectivity of data would have for the different departments of the company, since it would provide a broader vision with quality information that would improve management through this convergence.
“The main idea of this initiative is co-creation; that is to say, we will take into account the specific needs of our stakeholders, we will identify the indicators and data of our services that may be interesting, and we will make them open to promote collaboration, transparency and innovation”, Haro indicated. "We want it to be a collaborative tool that fosters collective intelligence to provide solutions through the data provided, which will always be highly reliable", he said.
Dinapsis, the digital brain at the service of water that Hidralia has on the Costa del Sol, plays a fundamental role when it comes to generating data. Its operational hub, in addition to offering a suite of digital services for water management, unites both artificial intelligence and big data, condensed into applications that allow cities' ecosystem indicators to be measured and offer a comprehensive view of their needs and those of its citizens. All this enables the implementation of actions that solve real problems that contribute to the development of smart, resilient and green cities.
17 of the most influential entities in innovation at European level collaborate in the project, among which are KWR Water Research Institute, VTT or Water Europe, the main platform for companies in the water sector in Europe. In addition to Hidralia, Cetaqua, its technological partner, also participates in this project, which aims to be a revolution in the management of data related to the management of such a scarce resource, through its centers in Barcelona and Andalusia.
