Hidralia receives the Bequal Plus seal, which certifies its commitment to the inclusion of policies in favor of people with disabilities

Hidralia, a company belonging to the SUEZ Spain Group, has been recognized with the Bequal PLUS Seal granted by the Bequal Foundation, certifying that it is a socially responsible company with disability, while at the same time proving to be aligned with the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations and contributing to the achievement of a more responsible and sustainable world. The General Director of the Water of Suez in Spain, Asunción Martínez, has collected the Bequal Seal from the president of the Bequal Foundation, Luis Cayo Pérez.
Hidralia manages the urban water cycle directly in 12 Andalusian municipalities: San Fernando (Cádiz), Estepona, Marbella, Manilva, Rincón de la Victoria, Algarrobo (Málaga), Roquetas, La Mojonera, Adra, Vélez Blanco, (Almería) , La Carlota (Córdoba) and Marchena (Sevilla). As in Suez Spain, its strategy is based on a sustainable and responsible model, focused on people and caring for the environment.
In all its workplaces, it is committed to the integration of people with disabilities, promoting equity values, both of its own employees and establishing the necessary measures to serve people with disabilities in their customer service offices.
It is noteworthy that the priority objective of the 37 companies of the SUEZ Spain Group to which the seal reaches is the fulfillment of the legal employment reserve quota for people with disabilities with direct employment. Aspect aligned with Bequal's objective of improving the levels of employment and its quality of persons with disabilities.
Asunción Martínez has shown that throughout the Company “equity and effective respect for diversity are part of the guiding principles of our business activity. In all areas of our organization, we foster a culture that guarantees equal opportunities for all people. ” He adds, “We have incorporated in our corporate strategic plan, objective 7: Equity and People, which establishes favoring an inclusive, quality and diverse work environment, contributing to the fulfillment of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.”
For his part, Luis Cayo Pérez has assured that the companies that have obtained the seal within the SUEZ Spain group “have clearly demonstrated their vocation to include people with disabilities in their management strategy, combating any kind of discrimination, among other reasons , for having a disability. ”
The Bequal certificate
The Bequal certificate is an evaluation formula by a third party, which determines the degree of commitment of companies in matters of Corporate Social Responsibility and Disability in essential areas such as strategy and leadership, human resources management, equal attention of conditions for all citizens or the inclusion of social clauses in public tenders.
In addition, the organizations that obtain the Bequal Certificate demonstrate their commitment and contribution towards the fulfillment of the SDGs, especially SDG 8 on decent work and SDG 10 on reducing inequalities, among others. The Bequal Seal, does not only mean being a socially responsible company with disability, it also means aligning with the International Agenda and betting on a more sustainable world.
