The managing director of Aguas de Huelva, Pedro Peña, on behalf of Hidralia, the Andalusian company that organizes this literary contest, has presented the prize to the student, accompanied by her classmates and her tutor Ana Belén Pereira, professor of Biology and Secondary Geology of the educational center.
The student has received the IPAD Tablet that is awarded to the winner of the Contest. Likewise, Aguas de Huelva has recognized the teacher from the Cardenal Spínola school for her collaboration year after year in promoting participation and the values of environmental awareness among her students, through this Contest.
The contest was held last January for students between the ages of 12 and 16 throughout Andalusia and it is now the ninth year that it has been held, making it one of the most established contests dedicated to water issues in the region. The Cardenal Spínola school is always one of the most participatory in Andalusia and during the nine editions of the contest they have managed to win four first and two second prizes.
The Jury made up of journalists and writers related to the water sector, announced its ruling on April 22 (World Mother Earth Day), assessing to reward it that the winning story by Lucía Cazorla has been able to synthesize the aspects most important related to the protection of water with a very special poetic touch. The theme should focus on the importance of water in society and on the concept of a 'smart city'.
