More than 1000 students of Third Primary participate these days in the Aqualogía Program, on responsible consumption of water and the environment, which once again starts the City Council and the municipality's water company, Hidralia.
The Councilor for Operational Services, Diego López, today presented this educational program at the Platero school, together with the manager of Hidralia, Fulgencio Díaz, focusing on the need to promote environmental values and care for this precious resource from the ages earlier.
The campaign is carried out in 18 schools in Estepona, with 1,026 students from Third Primary. The objective is to show them behaviors that achieve a sustainable use of the resource from its consumption to its return to the environment, in a fun and entertaining way, in addition to showing them the main characteristics of the integral water cycle.
As every year, the project includes a contest of drawings and slogans related to the responsible consumption of water and the environment. As established in the rules, the work will be carried out on paper or cardboard size DIN A-4, must be unpublished and meet the objective of the program. That is, for the slogan a short and expressive phrase, while the drawing should reflect some manifestation of water and the environment. The winners of the same will be awarded a check of 100 euros in school supplies.
Aqualogía shows environmental values linked to curricular contents of the course through entertaining and interactive activities with students, such as debates and games. In addition, the participants have been presented with a canteen, courtesy of Hidralia, with the motto: "We are water, we are Marbella, no more plastic."
